Goals

Short-term (less than 1 year)

  • Raised the necessary money to fund and carry out:
    • 20 sustainable education projects in 10+ different communities
    • 20 sustainable public health projects in 10+ different communities
    • 10 sustainable youth development projects in 5+ different communities
    • 5 sustainable economic development projects in 3+ different communities
  • 20 newly signed baseball players will fund community projects in their communities of origin
  • 10 existing baseball players will fund community projects in their communities of origin

Long-term (3 years)

  • Actively engage fans, teams, players, and other members of the baseball industry to participate and help leverage resources to support development in the DR
  • Every player who signs a contract with a MLB team participates in MLB-DDA and trust its ability to implement community development projects quickly
  • Raised the necessary money to fund and carry out:
    • 150 sustainable education projects in 100+ different communities
    • 150 sustainable public health projects in 100+ different communities
    • 100 sustainable youth development projects in 75+ different communities
    • 50 sustainable economic development projects in 30+ different communities
  • 20 baseball teams and their fans have collaborated to fund/adopt 35 different community development projects
